Fifth grade science classes off to a great start!!
| Friday, September 25th, 2009 |
Students at Bonner Elementary are learning about lab safety, the scientific method, and plants in the new 5th grade science labs/classrooms.
Activities in the works include planting a fall garden, making mini greenhouses from soda bottles, constructing bird feeders, and even building a bird sanctuary from birdhouses bought at an auction. Ms. Thompson’s class is also involved in recycling aluminum cans to save for birdseed and gardening supplies, as well as purchasing a tree to plant in the spring. Mr. Haas started two compost piles so students can see how compost helps soil and plants. |
