Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

Hudson ISD welcomes Ms. Nigel Boyles as Head Girls Basketball Coach.  We feel that Coach Boyles will be a great addition not only to the girl's basketball program but also to the elementary school where she will teach Physical Education.  She is a very outgoing and personable person that brings a great deal of energy and experience to the job.  She is a disciplined coach and is very student centered and cares about the kids both on the court and off the court.

Coach Boyles has been a head coach for 12 years and has an overall record of 256-121 in the twelve years.  Coach Boyles comes to us from Mount Pleasant High School where she has been the Head Girls Basketball coach for two years ('07-'08 & '08-'09), taking her teams to the Area playoffs and compiling a 45-24 record in two years.  Prior to coaching at Mount Pleasant (4A), she spent four years at Nacogdoches High School (4A) (2003-2007) compiling a 101-32 record and taking her team to the Regional Finals twice, Regional Semi-finals once, and to the Regional Quarter-final once.  Coach Boyles has also coached one year at South Houston High School (5A) (2002-2003) finishing 18-11 record, and prior to South Houston she coached at Pollock Central High School (3A) from 1999-2002.  While at Central her record was 55-33, taking her team to the playoffs 2 out of the 3 years, and started her coaching career at Louise High School (1A) (1997-1999) leaving with a record of 37-21.
